Neurochemistry

Neurochemistry is the study of chemicals, together with neurotransmitters and alternative molecules like psycho-pharmaceuticals and neuropeptides that manage and influence the physiology of the nervous system. This field among neuroscience examines how neurochemicals influence the operation of neurons, synapses, and neural networks. Neuro chemists analyze the organic chemistry and biological science of organic compounds within the nervous system, and their roles in such neural processes together with cortical plasticity, neurogenesis, and neural differentiation.
