The goal of energy engineering is to reduce the world's energy consumption. Energy is the building blocks of everything, and it is required to power or construct anything in the world. Engineering in the energy sector is concerned with increasing the energy efficiency of businesses, machinery, and households. Power Engineering was one of the first fields to emerge within Electrical Engineering. It is concerned with the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity. Power engineers also work on a wide range of power devices and power conversion systems (the process of transforming power from one form into another, as in electromechanical or electrochemical processes).
