Electrochemistry

Electrochemistry is that the branch of chemical science that studies the connection between electricity, as a measurable and quantitative development, and identifiable natural action, with either electricity considered an outcome of a specific natural action or the other way around. These reactions involve electrical charges moving between electrodes and an electrolyte (or ionic species in a solution). So electrochemistry deals with the interaction between electricity and natural action. Electrochemistry describes the overall reactions once individual redox reactions are separate but connected by an external electric circuit and an intervening electrolyte.
