Electrochemistry is that the branch of chemical science that studies the connection between electricity, as a measurable and quantitative development, and identifiable natural action, with either electricity considered an outcome of a specific natural action or the other way around. These reactions involve electrical charges moving between electrodes and an electrolyte (or ionic species in a solution). So electrochemistry deals with the interaction between electricity and natural action.
