Ecology

Ecology, also known as bioecology, bionomics, or environmental biology, is the study of the interactions between organisms and their surroundings. Some of the most pressing issues in human affairs is expanding populations, food scarcity, environmental pollution, including global warming, extinctions of plant and animal species, and all the attendant sociological and political issues—are largely ecological in nature.
